How do you order a Christmas tree online?
- Choose the species. The Nordmann fir lasts 4 to 5 weeks in a heated room. The Norway spruce lasts 2 to 3 weeks and smells more of the forest. The details are in our comparison Nordmann fir or Norway spruce.
- Choose the size. Our trees range from 125 cm to 4 m for the Nordmann and 3.50 m for the Norway spruce. Under a ceiling of 2.50 m, a tree of 175 to 200 cm fits without touching. For other cases: what size for your ceiling.
- Add a stand if you do not have one. The wooden cross stand is sold separately.
- Set the date in the basket. You choose the day and the arrival time slot; the tree reaches you wrapped, ready to fit through doorways.
How do you recognise a good-quality real tree?
Three criteria can be checked by eye and by hand. Freshness: the trunk is still moist at the base, the needles are supple and glossy, and none stay in your palm when you run your hand along a branch. Density: the foliage is full right down to the bottom, with no gaps to fill with lights. Shape: a straight leader and even tiers, so the topper sits without wedging.
Online, we do this sorting ourselves, tree by tree, before delivery.
Why choose a Belgian Christmas tree?
Belgium produces a lot of Christmas trees. According to APAQ-W, Wallonia produces about 2 million a year, and Belgium is the second-largest exporter in Europe, after Denmark. The Nordmann dominates: it accounts for about 80% of Walloon production, according to the UAP.
We select our trees from a Belgian family grower, in business for three generations, about a hundred kilometres from Brussels. Our trees come from a Belgian grower certified organic, inspected by Certisys (BE-BIO-01). No herbicides, fungicides, insecticides or growth regulators, with organic fertiliser. The short journey from the field to your living room matters: fewer days between cutting and setting up means a fresher tree in your home.
When should you order your tree online?
Order as soon as you know which day you want it: the tree arrives on the chosen day, not on the day you order. The day to aim for depends on the species. Our guide when to buy your Christmas tree gives the recommended date for each.
