Christmas decorations for businesses in Belgium: creating a festive atmosphere with impact

Décoration de Noël en entreprise en Belgique : créer une ambiance festive et impactante

To decorate a business for Christmas in Belgium, start from the venue: a hotel lobby, a shop window and an open-plan office do not call for the same tree. The simplest way is to hand the whole job to a professional service, which delivers the real tree, sets it up, decorates it and picks it up in January, without taking up your team’s time.

Which Christmas decorations for which type of venue?

The right decoration is one that your customers and staff can see without it getting in the way. Here is what matters, venue by venue.

VenueWhat mattersOur advice
Hotel lobby, reception hallBeing seen from the entrance, matching the identity of the venueA large Nordmann fir, a two-colour palette, large-diameter baubles
Restaurant, barA warm atmosphere, visible from the streetA tree near the window, warm white lighting
Shop, showroomShowing off the products, not hiding themA medium-sized tree, in the brand’s colours
Offices, coworking spaceA festive touch in reception and shared areasA tree in reception, understated decorations
Residential building lobbySafety, room to pass, lasting wellA Nordmann, which lasts 4 to 5 weeks, and shatterproof baubles

In every venue open to the public, two rules apply: shatterproof baubles, and a tree at least two metres from any source of heat. For a large tree, a long set of fairy lights, such as the Basic 27 m LED fairy lights, dresses it in one piece. Our guide which fairy lights for your tree gives the length to match the height.

How do you organise your company’s Christmas decorations?

  1. Measure the venue. Note the ceiling height, the width of the doors and the access (lift, stairs, loading bay).
  2. Set the style. One palette, two colours at most, in line with your visual identity.
  3. Ask for a quote. The form on our services for businesses page is all it takes: venue, number of trees, sizes, dates.
  4. Schedule the installation. We set the date together. Choose a time when the venue is quiet: before opening or during off-peak hours.
  5. Let us set up and decorate. We deliver the tree netted, set it up, then dress it with garlands, baubles and a topper.
  6. Plan the pick-up after the holidays. In January, we take everything down, take the tree away and leave the space clean.

What does a Christmas decoration service for businesses include?

It takes over the steps that cost an in-house team time: choosing the tree and its height, transporting it, setting it up, decorating it, then removing it after the holidays.

The pick-up is the biggest burden. It falls when everyone is back from the holidays, when nobody is free to carry a two-metre tree downstairs.

When should you ask for your Christmas decoration quote?

As early as possible. Businesses all want to be decorated at the same time: a quote requested early leaves you the choice of the day and time of installation.

For the tree itself, think about how long it lasts. A Nordmann fir lasts 4 to 5 weeks in a heated room: set up from 27 November, it stays beautiful until the holidays. Decorations, on the other hand, can be put up earlier in windows and areas without a tree.

Real or artificial tree for a business?

A real tree brings the scent and the look that visitors notice. Ours are Belgian and come from a certified organic grower: a family business, about a hundred kilometres from Brussels, where we select them. After the holidays, a real tree can be composted.

An artificial tree can make sense if it is used for many years. The two options are compared in artificial Christmas tree, a truly sustainable alternative, and the footprint of a cut tree in cutting down Christmas trees: is it bad for the environment.

Key points to remember

  • Choose the tree according to the venue: lobby, window, reception or shared area.
  • In a public venue: shatterproof baubles and a tree kept away from heating.
  • Measure the height and the access before asking for a quote.
  • A professional service delivers, sets up, decorates and picks up the tree in January.

Your frequently asked questions

Is there a minimum size of space you work in?
There is no minimum. A building reception with a single tree matters as much as a large hall: what changes is the time it takes to set up.
How tall a tree can you set up?
Up to 4 m for a Nordmann fir and 3.50 m for a Norway spruce. Access and stability are checked before we set it up.
Can we keep the decorations from one year to the next?
The decorations, yes: they belong to you and we can put them back up the following year. The real tree, no: it is a cut tree and is replaced every season.
Should I water the tree over the holidays?
Only if it is in a water-reservoir stand: keep the reservoir full. On a wooden cross stand, it cannot drink and will last less long: keep it at least two metres from the heating.
