Vert Sapin delivers its Christmas trees free from one end of the City of Brussels to the other, from the Pentagon to the old village cores of Haren and Neder-Over-Heembeek. The largest municipality in the Region according to IBSA, it stretches from the centre to the north, the south and the east.

From the Pentagon to the Squares, without carrying a tree

In the Pentagon, residents are concentrated in the west, from the old harbour basins to the Marolles, and in the medieval heart with its winding streets. According to IBSA, blocks of flats are slightly more common in the City of Brussels than elsewhere in the Region: your tree, in its net, is then handed to you at the building’s front door, and our home service sets it up in your flat, on quote.

According to IBSA, the City has more car-free households than the regional average: delivery saves you lugging a tree home. If you drive, you can also choose yours at the stall we run on Place Saint-Antoine, in Etterbeek: it is wrapped there and, in a small size, fits in a boot.

Along the canal: Laeken, Neder-Over-Heembeek and Haren

Annexed in 1921 to expand the port facilities, IBSA recalls, these three former municipalities form the north of the City of Brussels. In Laeken, people live mainly south of the Royal Estate and the Heysel plateau, home of the Atomium. Haren, on the right bank of the canal, touches the rest of the municipality only through the Schaerbeek-Formation railway yards: yet we deliver there just as in the centre, on Rue de Verdun as on Chaussée de Haecht.

Every winter, the traditional Christmas tree goes up on the Grand-Place. At home, it will be a soft-needled Nordmann fir or a Norway spruce that scents the room, both grown in Belgium: both are bought from a certified organic grower, one and the same family.

Your frequently asked questions

Can I get a Christmas tree delivered in the City of Brussels?
Yes, free of charge and in every part of the City: the Pentagon with the Marolles and the Sablon, Laeken, Neder-Over-Heembeek and Haren, with postcodes 1000, 1020, 1120 and 1130, as well as the European Quarter and Avenue Louise, where some of the City’s addresses carry the postcode 1040 or 1050. There is no minimum order. From the Pentagon to Haren, the driver keeps to your day and time slot, and it is at your door that he hands you your Nordmann fir or Norway spruce, in its net; if nobody is in, we agree on a free redelivery together.
Does Vert Sapin also deliver to Haren and Neder-Over-Heembeek?
Yes, just as in the centre: free of charge, with no minimum order and at your door. Neder-Over-Heembeek, between Vilvoorde and the canal, and Haren, on the right bank of the canal, were annexed to the City in 1921 along with Laeken, IBSA recalls. Their residents live mainly around the old village cores, in Haren along Rue de Verdun and Chaussée de Haecht. Keen to choose your tree yourself? Of our two stalls, the one in Etterbeek, on Place Saint-Antoine, is the nearer to Haren and Neder-Over-Heembeek.
Who collects Christmas trees in the City of Brussels after the holidays?
In the City of Brussels, real Christmas trees are collected by the Bruxelles-Propreté agency. Put yours out on the pavement, without decorations or pot, on the day garden waste is usually collected in your street; the wooden cross stand can stay attached. You can also take it to the Buda Recypark, Avenue Antoon Van Oss in Neder-Over-Heembeek, which is open to all Brussels residents and accepts garden waste.
