From the townhouses of Le Miroir to the widely spaced blocks of Le Heymbosch, Vert Sapin delivers your Christmas tree free of charge to every address in Jette. The railway line cuts the municipality in two. In the south, along the roads linking the old village church of Saint-Pierre to Le Miroir, mansion houses stand alongside workers’ houses. According to IBSA, the greener north kept its rural character until after the Second World War.

From terraced house to block of flats: delivery in Jette

Here, according to IBSA, more than two residential buildings in three are terraced houses, a higher share than across the Region: it is on the doorstep of these houses that the driver hands you your tree, in its net. The same goes at the foot of the tall modernist blocks of the 1960s in the north, or in Esseghem, the most densely populated part of the municipality according to IBSA: to see it standing in your Jette living room, ask our home service for a quote. Just beyond the regional boundary, in Wemmel as in Asse, delivery is still free.

For lovers of the Dieleghem woods

According to Brussels Environment, the north of the municipality belongs to the only Natura 2000 area in the north-west of the Region. In the Molenbeek valley, Parc Roi Baudouin links the Laerbeek wood, the Poelbos and the Dieleghem wood. If you love these woodlands, take the Norway spruce: of our two trees, it alone scents the room. The Nordmann fir, the most popular, has needles that don’t prickle and last 4 to 5 weeks, with a more discreet scent than the spruce.

In a townhouse in Le Miroir as in a flat in Le Heymbosch, first measure from floor to ceiling: at 2.50 m, our recommendation is a tree standing 175 to 200 cm; if the ceiling doesn’t reach 2.40 m, go down a size. To choose it with your own eyes, you’ll have to leave Jette for Etterbeek: the closer of our two stalls is on Place Saint-Antoine, where your tree is wrapped on the spot.

Your frequently asked questions

Can I get a Christmas tree delivered in Jette?
Yes, Jette (1090) gets free delivery on both sides of the railway: in Le Miroir, Jette-Centre and Esseghem on the south side, in Dieleghem and Le Heymbosch on the north side. Day and time slot are chosen when you order, with no minimum order, and an evening or weekend visit costs nothing more. The driver brings the tree, delivered netted, to your doorstep. Just beyond the regional boundary, in Wemmel and Asse, delivery is free too.
Tree delivered to a flat in Jette: does the driver carry it upstairs?
Free delivery is planned at your door: the tree is handed to you netted on the ground floor. In practice, the driver often carries it upstairs, though this isn’t guaranteed, and he doesn’t set it up. That holds in Le Heymbosch, where the blocks stand well apart, as at the foot of the tall modernist blocks in the north of Jette, which IBSA dates to the 1960s. To have it set up in your home, and even decorated, our home service comes out on quote.
How do I get rid of my Christmas tree in Jette once the holidays are over?
In Jette, put your real tree out on the day of the regional garden waste collection, run by Bruxelles-Propreté: it goes on the pavement, at the foot of your front wall, whether you live in a terraced house or a block of flats. Take off the pot and every decoration; the wooden cross stand, on the other hand, can stay. An article on our blog covers the other options.
