From Chaussée de Louvain to the park of the Botanical Garden, Vert Sapin delivers your Christmas tree free throughout Saint-Josse-ten-Noode (1210). Opposite the neo-Baroque church of Saint-Josse, the road widens into Place Saint-Josse, created in the 1870s according to the heritage inventory, and still lined with a few neoclassical houses of the period. The village grew up along this road, near the Maelbeek, where a chapel dedicated to Saint Josse once stood.

In the most densely populated municipality in the country, which size?

In Saint-Josse, according to IBSA, people mainly live in terraced houses, sometimes split into homes, or in flats: semi-detached and detached houses are practically absent. No other Brussels municipality, IBSA notes, has such a high share of residential buildings from before 1900. In these old buildings, measure the room: if it offers 2.50 m of ceiling height, plan in our view for 175 to 200 cm of tree, and go one size down under 2.40 m. The driver brings it netted to your door, right into the narrow streets of the east of the municipality.

Delivery covers all of 1210: Saint-Josse Centre, Botanique, Madou and its tower, Brabant and Chaussée de Haecht, which carry on into Schaerbeek, and the new homes on Rue du Marché, in the Quartier Nord. There is no stall in the Region’s smallest municipality: to choose your tree in person, the nearest is the one in Etterbeek, on Place Saint-Antoine.

After Christmas, with no municipal waste depot

According to the municipality, the municipal waste depot on Rue de la Cible has closed for good. To get rid of your tree after the holidays, follow the regional rule: put it out in front of your home on garden waste collection day, or drop it at a Recypark open to all Brussels residents, such as Buda.

Your frequently asked questions

Can I get a Christmas tree delivered in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode?
Yes, everywhere in the 1210 postcode, free of charge and with no minimum order. Deliveries cover Saint-Josse Centre, Botanique, Madou and the Quartier Nord, as well as Brabant and Chaussée de Haecht, two areas shared with Schaerbeek, where delivery is free too. When ordering, you set the day and time slot yourself; your tree then arrives netted and is handed to you outside your home; with nobody there to receive it, we reschedule the visit with you, free of charge.
Saint-Josse-ten-Noode no longer has a waste depot: where should I leave my tree after the holidays?
Outside your home, on garden waste collection day, or at a regional Recypark: according to the municipality, its waste depot on Rue de la Cible has closed for good. Put the tree out without decorations or pot, leaving the wooden cross stand on. The Recyparks open to all Brussels residents include Buda, Sud and Humanité in Forest, and Demets in Anderlecht.
Do you deliver a Christmas tree to a flat in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode?
Yes, at the building’s front door: the driver hands you your tree there, netted, and he often carries it upstairs, though this isn’t guaranteed. In a terraced house split into several homes, as you find in great numbers in Saint-Josse, delivery is therefore planned at the street door. Set up in your home, decorated, then picked up after the holidays: that’s what our home service offers, on quote.
