Delivered free throughout Schaerbeek, your Christmas tree goes all the way down into the hollows of the Maelbeek and Roodenbeek valleys. According to the heritage inventory, in the 18th century the Linthout wood, some 200 hectares, covered the south-east of the municipality; Rue Vergote is its former tree-lined drive. Your tree comes from no wood at all: it comes from a certified organic grower, who grows it in Belgium, some hundred kilometres from Brussels.

According to Brussels Environment, Parc Josaphat, opened to the public in 1904, now covers 20 hectares of lawns, ponds and rockeries, at the bottom of the old Roodenbeek valley. North of the park, the Quartier des Fleurs fans out its Avenue des Glycines and Avenue des Jacinthes. As in Terdelt, the garden city just to the north, the houses here often have a small front garden enclosed by a hedge or a fence. Our driver crosses that little garden and hands you the tree, in its net, on your doorstep. Out? He calls again free of charge.

What size of tree between the station and Helmet?

Avenue Huart Hamoir links Schaerbeek station to Chaussée de Helmet on a steep slope. Mansion houses around the station, small terraced and bel-étage houses in Helmet, a former hamlet: measure before you choose. With 2.50 m of ceiling height, our advice: aim for 175 to 200 cm; under 2.40 m, go down a size; higher up, the Nordmann fir comes in sizes up to 4 m.

From the city of donkeys to your door

Under the Ancien Régime, tradition has it, the people of Schaerbeek carried their morello cherries by donkey to the Brussels market, hence the nickname “city of donkeys”. Today, it is the tree that comes to you, by van, in the evening or at the weekend, at no extra cost. Upstairs in a house split into flats? On quote, our home service comes to set it up in your home, then picks it up once the holidays are over.

Your frequently asked questions

Can I get a Christmas tree delivered in Schaerbeek?
Yes, free of charge and with no minimum order, everywhere in Schaerbeek (1030): Josaphat, the Quartier des Fleurs, Terdelt, Helmet, Dailly, Colignon or the station area. When ordering, you book the day and time slot yourself. The driver then hands you the tree in its net at your door, whether it opens onto a small garden-city front garden or onto an avenue lined with mansion houses.
Tree delivered to a flat in Schaerbeek: does the driver carry it up?
The driver gives you the tree in its net at the front door: that’s where delivery ends. In reality, he often carries it up, without guarantee. In Schaerbeek, a mansion house or a terraced house is sometimes divided into several homes. Would you like it set up in your flat? On quote, that’s the role of our home service.
Where can I find a Christmas tree stall near Schaerbeek?
Place Saint-Antoine, in Etterbeek, one of the municipalities bordering Schaerbeek to the south: that’s where our stall stands. There, you choose yours, we wrap it, and the small sizes slip into a car boot. If you’d rather not transport it, delivery remains free throughout the municipality, from Parc Josaphat to Helmet.
