Semi-detached houses and the avenues of Rond-point Montgomery

According to IBSA, the municipality mainly has terraced houses, and far more semi-detached houses than the regional average. Where the ceiling reaches 2.50 m, we recommend 175 to 200 cm; under 2.40 m, go for the next size down. After the war, according to IBSA, large housing developments went up along Avenue de Broqueville, Avenue Paul Hymans and Avenue Vandervelde, laid out from Rond-point Montgomery. In a flat, the driver stops outside the building; setting up and decorating are, on quote, the business of our home service.

To choose with your own eyes, head for our nearest stall, on Place Saint-Antoine, in neighbouring Etterbeek: we wrap your tree there, and a small one fits in your car boot.

Between Parc Malou and Hof ter Musschen, a tree from a certified organic grower

At Hof ter Musschen, a listed natural site next to a post mill protected since 1943, wheat is grown, the municipality says. Our trees also come from Belgian soil, roughly a hundred kilometres from Brussels: they are supplied from a certified organic grower, a family that has worked it for three generations. In this green municipality, from Parc Malou to private gardens, choose the Nordmann fir, whose supple needles don’t prickle, or the Norway spruce, which alone of the pair fills the living room with its scent.

After the holidays, Bruxelles-Propreté takes away the tree put out on the pavement with the garden waste, and its Woluwe-Saint-Pierre Recypark accepts garden waste from Woluwe-Saint-Lambert residents, on presentation of an identity card; see also what to do with your tree.

Your frequently asked questions

Can I get a Christmas tree delivered in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert?
Yes, and free of charge, to all corners of Woluwe-Saint-Lambert (1200): from Le Tomberg to Roodebeek, from Georges Henri to Kapelleveld, by way of Gribaumont and the Constellations. Day and time slot are set in the basket, whatever the amount, and evening and weekend visits stay free. On the doorstep, the tree then passes from the driver’s hands to yours, in its net, ready to be set up. If you’re out, we agree on a free redelivery.
In a block of flats in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, is the tree carried up to the flat?
Free delivery ends at the entrance to the building, where the driver hands it over to you, netted; he will often take it up to the flat, but without guarantee. According to IBSA, flats are very common in the municipality, and large housing developments have lined Avenue de Broqueville, Avenue Paul Hymans and Avenue Vandervelde since the post-war years. Setting the tree up in your flat, then decorating it to your taste if you wish: that is the role, on quote, of our home service.
Once the holidays are over, where do I take my tree if I live in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert?
Bruxelles-Propreté collects real Christmas trees with the garden waste in your street: on that day, put yours outside your front wall, stripped of its pot and decorations. Private residents of Woluwe-Saint-Lambert also have access to the Woluwe-Saint-Pierre Recypark, at Val des Seigneurs, which accepts garden waste within a daily volume limit, on presentation of an identity card. An article on our blog also explains what to do with your tree.
